Denver Pride 5K Race and Event Schedule
On Saturday, the Denver Pride 5K race will be held at Cheesman Park from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. As a result, certain routes, such as Routes 10 and 12, will be modified west of Corona Street or east of York Street during this period to accommodate the event’s attendees.
Expect detours and alternative boarding locations for various other routes like 8, 19, 32, 48, ART, and the 16th Street FreeRide on Saturday. These adjustments are necessary to navigate the event-filled downtown area efficiently.
Denver PrideFest and Vizzy Denver Pride Parade Details
Sunday will see the Denver PrideFest and the 2026 Vizzy Denver Pride Parade affecting RTD routes. Denver PrideFest, relocated to part of 16th Street this year, will commence at 10 a.m. with road closures in place from early Saturday to late Sunday.
Due to these closures, the 16th Street FreeRide shuttle will operate on a detoured route via 15th Street and 17th Street between Lawrence Street and Broadway. Additionally, the Vizzy Denver Pride Parade will kick off at Franklin Street and 17th Avenue at 9:30 a.m., causing delays and temporary stops downtown.
Alternate Boarding Locations and Schedule Changes
Civic Center Park’s closure will affect the eastbound 83L bus, with a temporary boarding location on Broadway at 13th Avenue. Passengers utilizing other bus routes like 0, 1, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 15, 15L, 16, 19, 20, and 48 should also anticipate detours and schedule modifications as necessary.
